WHAT IS RED LIGHT THERAPY?

A red light therapy system looks similar to a tanning bed but has NO ultraviolet, so there is no risk of over exposure. It uses special electronics and proprietary lamps to produce ultra high levels of red light at 633nm only. 633nm is a very special part of the color red. Studies show that the exposure to red light at 633nm is beneficial to the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. 

Red light therapy is a long term therapy that has long lasting results for the entire body. Red light therapy systems generate deep, penetrating heat which can offer temporary relief from ordinary aches and pains. 

IS RED LIGHT THERAPY SAFE?

Using red light emitted from collagen lamps is one of the few methodologies that gently and harmlessly reduces the signs of aging. Red lamps are considered pain free - no healing or downtime is involved. Collagen red lamps have a spectrum between 600 and 700nm. The lamps do not radiate UVA or UVB rays. There is no tanning effect. Invasive anti-aging procedures such as microdermabrasion, dermal fillers and other injections, chemical peels or laser resurfacing can have serious side effects. When using collagen fluorescent lamps, a physician should be consulted if light sensitive medication is prescribed or if the consumer suffers from increased sensitivity to light. Some people may also experience brief warm (“glow”) following use of collagen lamps.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM RED LIGHT THERAPY TREATMENTS?

Treatments using red light should improve skin tone and texture, control pigmentation spots, help reduce pore size, encourage vibrant, healthier-looking skin, and reduce fine lines. Anti-aging red light therapy stimulates circulation and repairs the elastin fibers within tissue to help keep skin firm. Over time improved oxygenation & detoxification is achieved as the vascular walls of the skins small blood cells are strengthened, followed by improved natural repair and creation of healthy skin. Skin texture and moisture level is also improved with this skin healing process. Overall you should look and feel younger.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GO?

This should be a commitment. Results will not be achieved in just a few sessions, or going “occasionally.” Continuous use accelerates cellular activity and fuels the collagen and elastin process. Sessions are a relaxing 20 minutes each. We strongly recommend the following schedule:

Weeks 1 – 4:     Three to five sessions per week

Weeks 5 – 12:     Two to three sessions per week

Weeks 13+:     Once or twice per week as needed for maintenance

HOW SOON SHOULD I EXPECT RESULTS?

Everyone reacts differently, depending on their age and the condition of their skin. There are a few immediate changes to skin, such as cleaner brighter and tighter feeling skin. Longer term therapy results in improved skin tone and texture. Fine lines, sagging skin, dark circles and puffiness around eyes is reduced along with evening out of pigmentation. Fading of scaring and wounds is achieved as skin cells are healed and re-vitalized.
